The Moray East Offshore Wind Farm project showcased the Port of Cromarty Firth’s role as a major logistics hub for renewable energy. The Port served as a base for marshalling pin piles and other key infrastructure required for the construction of 100 wind turbines. The Port’s heavy-lift crane capabilities and extensive laydown areas were integral in handling and storing the project’s massive components. This project, part of Scotland’s drive towards net-zero, highlighted our ability to accommodate large-scale renewable projects with tight delivery schedules​.
